Getting Over It

Funk be gone!

I've resolved to do everything in my power to get out of the summer time blues.

Starting, tomorrow.

The last couple of days have been hard, but I've considerably improved since then. I'm making plans for future goals, and looking forward to seeing them through. One of them is to look up law schools, and buy myself an LSAT study book. As of right now, I'm not sure where I'm gonna go with this, but I'm eager (baby steps!)

I've started tweeting, I think that's the word for it, I thought about how my focus of study has been so linked with online sociality, that to refuse Twitter is to refuse a learning experience. So I've opened myself up to (The?) Twitter, and maybe become more interested (if not invested) in it.

Saw Get Him to the Greek with Lisel tonight and I thought it was hilarious. The only thing that really struck me the wrong way was the rape joke, not funny, didn't laugh. Since that was the only sour part of the movie for me, I would love to watch it again, but I would not drive out all the way to Tulare to do it. That's just me. This movie was a massive improvement over Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

I'm gonna go see Toy Story 3 again with Lisel, only in IMAX, and she has promised to buy my ticket to The Last Airbender (because I have qualms over the whole race issue).

Once again, planning on sending out a SDCC message to everyone in my hotel. Ideas for transport, things to bring, sleeping arrangements shall be discussed, along with the matter of payment. I think shall prefer cash over checks, just because I'm worried it might not clear in time (I deposited a check last week, and it still hasn't cleared. Very anxious since I currently have imaginary money.) I have a few thoughts on how we should meet up and what we should bring, so it might be a little lengthy, but I am open to suggestions/amendments.

I want to start writing again, but I don't quite know how to get started back up on that. (Read: Needs motivation and inspiration).

OH MY GOD it is so hot where I live! Tomorrow it's going to be 106, which will feel like 115 indoors if one hasn't got an air conditioner or a swamp cooler. I. MUST. GET. OUT. OF. PORTERVILLE. There's no way I'll survive this summer here, I need to get back to the coast and cooler climates. I voluntarily took a cold shower today because the heat was that unbearable. Plus, the pipes were so heated up that the cold water came out hot for like ten minutes. Grr.

I think I might have to relocate after Comic-Con, this heat will slowly force me down into more of a depression if I can't get away from it. I haven't yet set up my XB0X 360 because I fear that will heat up any room I am in to a dangerously unhealthy level and I will die. T_T That means, I haven't been playing video games. (Tears) Although, I just got my wireless mouse back from my mom, so I might be able to do some quality pc gaming now. I've been meaning to get my hands on some STEAM deals.

All in all, I've had a pretty crummy couple of days, and I've got some choicer crummy days to come, but I will try my very best not to let it get me down.
