Day one of Beat the Funk was quite successful, in my opinion. Knowing that it would be blistering hot today, the first thing I asked my mom was if we could turn the air conditioner on, and she said yes. A positive move in the direction I'm facing. I watched a bunch of movies, and pretty much spent my entire day parked in the living room because my room is much too hot to do anything recreational in sadly.
The thing about my room is, it's the coldest room in the winter, and the hottest in the summer, there is no happy medium. Although, I have to say, I prefer the winters because I love getting wrapped up in blankets like I'm the filling to an especially tasty burrito.
I actually ate regular meals today, which has considerably improved my mood. The thing is, I find it odd to eat by myself now. I'm always so used to having someone else in the kitchen, having had three roommates for the last three years. I have become a social eater, and tend not to eat as heartily when not in the company of others. That is most likely linked to my funk that I've been wrestling with.
Day two looks like it shall be as much of a challenge as day one, but I will try my best to overcome it. (Fighting!) Tomorrow's high is 101 F, and I will not abide by that at all. I will be turning on the AC once again, and probably get started on the orange sherbert that's been sitting in the freezer. Yum.
I also took a look at my camera, and it's on its last leg. The touch screen is starting to go, and while it still takes perfectly fine pictures, when the screen goes, I'll have no idea what I just photographed/recorded until I upload it to my computer since it doesn't have a view finder like the older model point and shoots. Plus, with SDCC coming up, I don't want to have to take mystery pictures and hope that they turn out for the best.
I'll look up if there's anyway to salvage my camera, but I'll also be looking into a replacement if no such solution can be found. I'll most likely look into buying another Sony, just because I have memory sticks for them, and it would be a waste to just shelve them. It's not like I have a psp or the like that would take them.
It makes me sad, but the camera's going on almost four years, and it was one of the first gen touch screens to be released (in the camera department). The tech has very much changed, and it is time for an upgrade.
